Russell C. Golowin, J.D., LL.M. is the Principal of College Funding Relief, LLC.
Mr. Golowin practices elder law and estate planning in
his law firm, Golowin Legal, LLC. After repeated questions from
parents and grandparents about how they could best arrange their estate to
ensure their student(s) qualified for as much free college money as possible,
he "went back to school" to learn the rules, regulations and secrets
of financial aid.
Through his studies, Mr. Golowin learned that he made almost every possible mistake in the college funding "game", and finally understands why he received "a big zero" in free aid to attend The Ohio State University and was saddled with the maximum student loan as well as a hefty loan for mom to enjoy.
Mr. Golowin's goal with College Funding Relief, LLC is to educate parents and grandparents of students to ensure they don't make the same mistakes. Through avoiding these pitfalls and taking advantage of the many strategies to maximize eligibility for money for college, he hopes that his clients not only get into their ideal college (regardless of "sticker price"), but also to exit it with their degree and a lot less debt than he did.
